Being at the party and being so close to everything that happened was mortifying for me, but knowing the grief and pain that the victim's families now face, hurts even worse.
My prayers go out to all of them and though things look grim now, know God is on your side. Please stay strong and more importantly have faith.

I keep in contact with Bro. Hopkins and he reports regularly how your chapter is recruiting not only former Sigma Beta but also professional men in your community. I look forward to your chapter's continuous success and growth.

Bro. Sharrieff

Welcome back to our wondrous band as I know Upsilon Sigma worked hard as most of our Graduate chapters did in October Reactivation month. Historically our Region and Fraternity see a drop in membership in the beginning of the year as most brothers pay their membership dues in March and April. Despite the 42% drop from the end of the year through February our Region showed a significant membership growth as compared to February 2010 where our numbers were below our current 770 as of February 16, 2011. The goal for the end of fiscal year 2011 is to exceed over 1500 financial brothers.

Greetings Brother Black, As one of the reactivated 225 (Upsilon Sigma, Chicago) I am very pleased and happy to be back amongst the "fold". But I must say it's disappointing to learn we dropped from 1317 at year's end 2010 to most recently 770 as of February 16, 2011. What accounted for the 42% drop in just 6 weeks? We'll have to put this on the table at Regionals 2011. Fraternally Yours.

Bro. Black, as M.I.P. Chairman of Nu Gamma Sigma, it is my goal to help our great Region reach it's goal of membership growth. When I was the Sigma Beta advisor for Epsilon Lambda Sigma Chapter I glad that I stressed education for our young men. Now these young men are college grads. and are ready to move into Phi Beta Sigma. Look for continued growth in Nu Gamma Sigma, as we bring these ex-Sigma Beta members into the fold.
